Creating a sign for your company is very important. It is the first impression your prospects or clients will see when driving by and you want to make sure it represents your company’s vision. However, you also need to ensure that you sign is effective and receives the attention it deserves. Check out these tips on how to guarantee effectiveness.
- Keep it simple and legible. Remember people are probably driving by and they have other things on their minds. Don’t make them strain to read your sign
- Create an attention grabber. Whether it is an unusual shape, a bright graphics, or a catchy slogan, you need something that will separate your sign from all the rest.
- Make your purpose clear. Most sales are a result of impulse purchase. Therefore, make sure your sign demonstrates exactly what your business sells.
- Avoid obstructions. This may sound like a no-brainer, but how often do you drive past signs that are covered by branches or other signs. Choose a location that will avoid all possible obstructions.
- Consider colors carefully. Do some research on readability of colors and how colors can trigger an emotional response. You do not want to use a color that may subconsciously contradict your message.
